Guest composer Jake Heggie was in residence twice during the 2010-11 academic year (Oct.-Nov. 2010; Feb. 2011) as part of the UNT Institute for Advancement of the Arts (IAA). During these residencies, Mr. Heggie taught composition lessons and master classes, coached singers, gave a presentation on his recent opera Moby Dick for Music Now, and participated in two NEA-sponsored concerts featuring his vocal and chamber music.
